You can't convert HTML to BBCode, also that is .swf which can't be put in MD, it's all blocked, because you could mess with other people with a small flash script :haha:

Anything with animation you see is probably flash or some other protocol, it's why the animations on MD are generally pretty crap, cause they have to be made frame by frame which takes ages :haha:

I do have a nifty couple of programs that might be able to work magic with it:shifty:

But i cant seem to bring up that page:sad:

If you upload the swf somewhere else. Ill have a go at it:shifty:

If you can screencap the animation, then import the video to the latest version of Photoshop, you can save the .gif version and then put that on MD... No sounds though.

Thats one way. But unless you want a really large and slow loading pic:haha: than its not really a great wa to go:shifty:

Most actually animation programs. You can just open up a swf file and it will load up frame by frame. or at least that how my favorite program works:wink: then you can export it as any file type you like with almost the exact same level of detail as in the original file:evil:

  11. Living_Legend @ 27 Feb 2012 06:21:00 AM

    I have a few:shifty:

But its not that easy. After a long session of trying to figure out how it works, i can say with a high level of certainty that it cant be done.

The main swf file that you see in the link is calling on two other swf files with scripts in them to make the letter combinations that you enter from the text at the end of the swf file. ( the ?yournamehere part)

Its done this way to save space so you dont end up with millions of little scripts with every possible combination of letters you can enter.

So unless somebody want to animate it themselves. I think the next easiest way would be to record the file while its open in a browser and then convert the video to an animated gif. but there isnt a great way i know of to make a reasonably sized img from a vid of that size:sad:

I wasnt going to answer this but why not:haha: It all depends on what quality your going for(quality=space). If you want it big and bright, my personal favorite for retaining quality is a program called "swftogif" by watermark-software. Depending on the file you put in, it usually works well and you can do minor adjustments on the fly from inside the converter.

However, for a few special swfs, they require special work because sometimes their authors but special precautions in them to prevent them from being edited. The best way to get around that is to use a program called a decompiler. There are many around that do the exact same thing, i just use a program called swf decompile from a company called sothink because i like the gui design. With this, you can get the .fla file to import into flash and edit to you hearts content, with full library and action script. From there you can export directly to a gif, although i never had much luck exporting and retaining some level of detail. My favorite method is to export as a more friendly swf file and then convert that.

And thats basically it for my programs:razz:
