Brand spanking new houses

  1. lolo @ 29 Jan 2011 05:45:30 PM
Dave should put new houses for the people that have LPI to work on something new.

NOTE:Sorry if this is a repost.

    Lazy people.. :rasberry:

It has nothing to do with lazy. It's about the fact that it's already impossible for new players to catch up, so to consider adding a new house that's even more expensive would be ridiculous. Also we're already at Large Private Islands. What's next? Countries?

    Yes, Countries.

I've mentioned this a hundred times before..

but instead of houses.. it should be land

I'll have to dig up my post or make a new one... Nitro probably remembers what I am talking about.. we pretty much had the same basic idea

    real quick example..

you have a plot of land and then can build a certain house on top of it.

so the bigger plot of land the bigger the house..

An LPI isn't a house.. but a Large Estate is a house..

    so it would look like:

    Large Estate 4,850 12 car $75,000,000 $37,500,000

    on a

    Large Private Island 10,000 20 car $280,000,000 $140,000,000

which would cost 355 million and have 14,850 awake

Just an example.. but it would benefit new and old players..

Then if you add extras in there such as a pool, tennis court and whatever else you could add awake..

or buying a gym in your house could give you a little extra stats or something.. there are hundreds of ideas that could go with this idea

No new houses. Would be unfair to the other people.

280mil is easy to get. But any thing above that is just to much.
  11. 502Red @ 01 Feb 2011 07:31:43 PM
Agreed. Unless a noob is selling RM's right away, there would be no way for them to make say 500M for a new largest house.

The game is in trouble because there aren't enough new people joining and sticking around, and if a new house was introduced it would make catching up even more impossible than it already is.

And most of us have heard the land/property before. I also suggested one. Mine was more about what others options you could do with it besides how much it would cost/awake.

Like using your island's "resources". Food, energy, goods, and ports and docks to import export; another daily from "tourism", but you have to manage it. (ie: have some way to make/maintain natural wilderness parks, resorts, amusement parks. All with different positives and consequences: pollution, repair, etc)

So when some noob says "omg new houses pl0x! :D !", they are shunned.

    I agree with that RO..

But for all the others, the land was also a way to not HAVE to expand banks/vaults or whatever.

Because you would first have to buy the plot of land.

you would get the corresponding awake. Then if you get more money you can build a house on top of it.

So in my example above, you don't HAVE to have 355 mil at once to buy the highest stuff..

you could buy the LPI with the 280 and wait until you have the rest to build on top of that.

Implementation wouldn't be hard to do either.

basically if someone has a small house... then change it to be a small plot of land or something with the same or approximate cost..

You have a new system and don't have to worry about losing money.

and to the people who say that noobs will NEVER catch up...

well do you suggest a MD reset and everyone start over?

Of course not.. so why not make it fun for the people that are still here?
