open wound afflictions

    If hit by bullets and melee weapons characters get infections or poisoned, also new items such as antibiotics and antidotes for poisons.

    Poisons and infections have affects on the stat bars eg. Health doesn't regenerate or does at a slower speed. Awake and energy have similar effects.

    Maybe these only happen if attacker applies poisons or uses nearly broken weapons (symbolic to rusty knife or virus transferred through blood):shifty:

    How do you see this impacting other means of recovery? I don't think at this stage of the game many players rely on slow recovery when they're hitting others, so they'll opt for medkits and points to recover health/energy/awake.

    And what is the benefit for the attacker to apply a slower health recovery? Wouldn't that mean a target would potentially be unable to be hit for longer due to the minimal health requirements to attack someone?

    I'd rather see drive bys get added to gang crimes so you can take out multiple gang members at once .

    OP implies you need an antidote for the poison to stop effect:wink:
