Well, a lot of you have heard me mention a little bit about opening up an MD Arena. It is going to happen and soon we hope. Thinking it will be up mid next week. Fully operational by the weekend.
What is the MD Arena going to be? Well, to be honest, it is just what it sounds like. I'll explain it as best I can. The arena will show up on the MD home page as a fourth server. But there won't be any registration available for it. What will happen is when there is an event being held in the arena we will copy all accounts into the arena and let them participate. There won't be cars, dogs, markets or anything else like that in the arena because you won't be there to do shopping and things
Once the event is done for that day, accounts will be deleted and login turned off.
The reason for opening this is to allow some cross server warfare, Gang wars, simple fun and games from a given server. We feel it could be a good addition. With there generally being four weeks in a month we are thinking along the lines of a mixed server event one week, then the following weeks one for each server. And if this takes off like we hope it will; we hope to add in an event calender and allow people to rent out the Arena for themselves and people they want to for their own enjoyment.
Now, when events and things are held, it will not be free to enter the Arena. We will set an amount of MD Money that will buy your entry for that day. No we won't accept points. Atm we are thinking about 1.5 mill for entry. Maybe more. That isn't decided. Then rentals of course will cost a set amount for the rental and then a fee for each person being moved over. (And no, any levels, stats or anything gained in the arena will not be moved back to your account, just the same that any money, items or anything lost while on the server will not be removed from your account on the return)
Hmmm. I think that covers just about everything in the description of what it is and how it will work. Currently, we are hoping to have this server fully operational and ready for the first ever
Mixed Server Battle Games on July 6th.
