Vik was not demoted from staff, him and Thanos swapped servers.
In light of recent events Jo, Old Sheriff and I decided it was better for everyone concerned to swap them as they have done nothing to warrant losing their staff position. But to leave them on the server they play was causing a nightmare. Due to some players constantly riding the drama train.
We have done this a couple of times before and it has worked out fine. So no, Thanos did not take a md1 staff position* as there wasn't one vacant, nor was Vik demoted.
