2011 Mega Photo Competition

  1. Dave @ 01 Sep 2011 08:54:35 AM
    G'day everyone,

We haven't done one of these in quite a while on a large scale, so I introduce to you the 2011 Mega Photo Competition!

For those of you who remember the last massive one, every single participant wins points for their entry regardless of whether or not they win an overall prize.

To make it even more appealing, there are 5 main prizes, and a load of randomly drawn prizes that you can win regardless of the quality of the photo.

    The Rules

In your photo you MUST include the following to get the points or be eligble for a prize:
    - Your face (can be partially obscured if you please)
    - Something that says MAFIADEATH on it (Premade image you can use)
    - Your ID number
    - No photoshopping / image alteration in any form

    Entries

Each entrant will receive 100 points for the base entry PLUS the bonus points if you include one or more of the following in the photo with you:
    - A live plant (10 points)
    - Wearing red lipstick (20 points)
    - A spatula (10 points)
    - A cape (20 points)
    - Brown item of clothing (10 points)
    - "I Love Dave" written somewhere (5 points)
    - In a public place (50 points)

You may submit as many entries as you please, though only ONE will receive points for being entered, and only one will be used when picking the random prize winners.

Where Do We Post Our Entries?

Post your entries in THIS thread. If they're not in this thread, they won't be counted towards anything and you won't win any prizes!

    How Long Do We Get?

Entries will be accepted the entire month of September, anything submitted outside of this month will NOT be counted.

    Main Prizes

Prizes will be shown to several people from outside of MafiaDeath and ranked, and the top five most creative or most well done will receive the following:
    1st Place: 10,000 Points + Gradient Name
    2nd Place: 10,000 Points
    3rd Place: 7,500 Points
    4th Place: 4,000 Points
    5th Place: 2,000 Points

    Side Prizes

10 randomly picked entrants will receive a 30 RM Day Pack each.
10 randomly picked entrants will receive 250 points each.
5 randomly picked entrants will receive a random rare item.
3 randomly picked entrants will receive a standard dual-coloured name.

any points for wearing a banana hammock??
  7. Dave @ 01 Sep 2011 10:49:25 AM
Look, to be honest, you'd probably lose some points for the banana hammock... unless it was an actual hammock that you could lie on and it was made of bananas, then you might get some points...

Is face from a distance fine? I feel that the magnificence of a sheet cape could not be appreciated from close up :shifty:

Yeah, don't see why not! Just gotta make sure the MafiaDeath name + your ID are clearly visible somewhere in it!
  12. Macabre @ 01 Sep 2011 12:31:10 PM
why do I picture random weird reports of people in Aussie beating each other with spatulas while wearing capes? Hey wait!!! if it makes the news it's great advertising!!!

And if I really wanted to I could stand outside the window of the national morning news program with an MD sign. How many points for that? :heh:
  14. Dave @ 01 Sep 2011 12:41:45 PM
2,000 points if you get on TV and have a clip from the program for everyone to see!
