If you created a ticket, and a Admin, GM reply's back that it shows in you're event log that there has been replied back or closed the ticket.

Even if it just worked like Blackberry Messenger. Where if someone looks at your support ticket, you would get a message sent to you so that you knew it had atleast been acknowledged. I think it would help people filing tickets out because they'd know that someone was looking into their problem, and it would help Admins out because people might be less impatient if they had something tangible that told them someone was looking into their problem.
