Forum Consolidation

    The forums have been playing a bit of musical chairs, and some are sharing a chair, others weren't lucky and were left out.

    Here's an overview of who's sitting where:
    - Introductions, Non-MD are both sitting on General Chat's chair.
    - FL: Non-MD is now sitting on FL: General Chat's chair.
    - Banners is now sitting on Marketplace's chair.
    - Competitions is now sitting mostly on Marketplace's chair, but was a bit unsure, so is also sitting partially on General Chat's chair.
    - Trades was left standing, and is subsequently never allowed to play musical chairs again.

    so trading is still allowed bt just that were not allowed to post/advertise it on the forums right?
  10. »Toby«»Chambers« @ 27 Apr 2012 12:14:41 AM
    So basically this game is turning into RisingGrave... just with a different colour scheme/avatars?

    Taking the trade forums out of this game is stupid.:facepalm:

    Those who have been around longest know how people to do server trades, the new (or not so old) players don't. So this will make a gap for those not so old/new players?
  11. Dave @ 27 Apr 2012 12:15:07 AM
    Cross-game/cross-server trading is not allowed in the forums anymore, correct. If you have trades you want to make, leave them on your profile in a way like below:

    Trading points: MD1 -> MDAU
    Trading cash: LOL -> ROFL
    etc
  12. »Toby«»Chambers« @ 27 Apr 2012 12:18:50 AM
    But what's the point in taking out this section of the forums? If someone needed a trade, they'd go there and look, if someone wants a trade now, they have to trawl through numerous accounts until they find the right trader?
  13. Dave @ 27 Apr 2012 12:20:18 AM
    It makes it harder for those who don't actively play the game (come here for the purpose of trading out) to trade.

    These accounts don't really add any value to the game.
  14. The Thing™ @ 27 Apr 2012 12:22:24 AM
    Watch the activity boom back up again too I bet. :rolleyes::haha::haha:
  15. »Toby«»Chambers« @ 27 Apr 2012 12:24:27 AM
    nor do they retract value from the game though :erm:

    You can't stop people trading out of the game, they'll just advertise on other games, which people from here play and will now check. It's just making it more of a chore, you're right, but it won't effect it much in the long run.

    ----

    I don't like that this game is effectively becoming RisingGrave with all the features. There's plenty of features suggested here that wouldn't work on RG and visa versa.
    They're different games, changes there don't need to happen here.

    Some people don't play RG because of the differences, bringing them here won't bring activity, quite the opposite infact... unless advertisements are made... but these changes brought in today (from RG) aren't going to affect that.

    ----

    Oh... apart from the "_______ of the hour". That's not from RG... but it's not exactly original...

    I don't like to be negative when I see changes, but some of this, I just can't find positives. I see you've spent time putting them into place, and for that, thanks. But what's the point in making X amount of small changes from other games, why not check the suggestions and find an original idea that's good and implement that?
