Official MD1/MDE Update

    Hi Everyone,

    I awoke this morning to hear that the server that the MD1+MDE databases are on had crashed.

    Paul has told me that initially he was able to bring the server back up, but there were still ongoing problems with it, so he had to boot it down until the server technicians could solve the problem.

    From what they have told me, the server has completely died, the hard drives, and hard drive controllers all failed. So now we have to wait until they can either restore function to the current hardware or set us up with a completely new server so that we may restore from a backup point.

    If you could restore to about 5 months ago when I had 12k pts on MD1; this would be acceptable

    The Mirrors are incase of an attack on the web servers.

    No player or person other than Paul, myself, or the server technicians have access to the database servers. So they're not threatened by malicious attacks.
