A Few Changes

really less work for the FMs now
not as many queer rules to enforce haha NAZIs!

pretty soon we can phase FMs out all together
    free ride's over
time to go out and earn some points freeloaders

some of this merging of thread locations has backfired though!
combining non-MD with GC is turning GC into a fucking haven for weird non-game related threads, suicide dedications, movie reviews, and all sorts of other dumb shit

keep non-MD related area for what it's there for
keep GC for in-game related topics

^^^I make nearly 30k a year, do I get to take it all home at the end of the day?

That's because of taxes, not deposit fees.

This is a bandaid solution, it'll hurt new players in the long run, it helps take money away from the older players that would sit and let the money pile. I realize new players aren't common but not accommodating them is going to do more harm than good.

Hell if you wanted have an interim bank that phases out once you get an island or after so many days (large quantity) that eliminates interest and replaces it with the current system.

The issue is greed, there aren't many players and because of that the opportunity to make money isn't big. Selling points higher because of limited buyers was inevitable. A pack mentality followed, once a few people sold at a high price, others followed suit until you had an insane amount of inflation and outrageous costs on points.

Ultimately increasing traffic will reinvigorate the economy, but this is at best a band aid, not a long term solution. Good to see that things are at least being done though.(To not make the whole post seem negative.)

Dave as i have suggested somewhere in the GC thread that this bank interest change greatly affect the players directly. especially new players as they dont have any pre stored money and points like we old players do. The will find it extremely difficult to deal with this situation.

Rather than directly affecting and sucking the money out of this game i would suggest to take methods that would affect indirectly. e.g

    1) Increase the travelling costs.( a lot of people travel so it would suck the money out).

    2) Lower the total payout of dailies combined i.e(slots, lucky dip, downtown).
I get around 800k daily from these.
    I wouldn't mind if i get 600k or 500k.

    3) Increase the price of most used item in the market. Not a 100% increase in their price. Just a little bit on every item that is mostly used. e.g kits and certs.

    4) Lower the bank interest but don't eliminate it completely. Like 400k for RM and 200k for non RM.

    5) Or you could completely eliminate the interest for non RMs and make it 300k for Rms. Large number of people will rms then. (Though i am not sure about this suggestion).

    6) Make the bank interest like the daily payout of points. If the user logs in he will get it or make a button in bank where you could go and click to get the interest of the day which would then directly be stored into his bank.
(I know there is a limit of inactive days after which you dont get interest but making it on daily basis would suck the cash out of this game).

    7) Deposit fee ( you already did that).

    8) Car maintenance fee after you traveled like 10 or 20 cities on it you have to pay it if you want to travel more.

    9) Bribing a police officer to get out of prison.( like 50k or 100k as a bribe).
People will use keys but in some cases they will use money too, to get out of there.
    =====================================================

I will be posting this in suggestion forum too so that more people would read this and comment.

most of you are dumb... and heres a question... these 'new players' you speak of, how did they know there was bank interest before? how will they miss it?? maybe it will spawn better noobs because they have to do more to earn money and points

Enough with all the changes to this game, it use to be fun to come online and play. Now its just not the same as it use to be on the old core. I use to be on at least once a day now im online maybe once a week. The game is getting ruined day by day!
  11. Frankie. @ 07 May 2012 02:06:34 PM
Honestly, I enjoy this new core just as much as the old core. It isn't all that different and besides the layout and even then that is only the colour scheme.

The removal of bunnies which a lot of people moan about is actually one of my favourite parts since it means people actually have to train to level up which in the long run benefits them.

Now the point prices have dropped to a reasonable level, I don't see any problems with the game at all.

  14. The Thing™ @ 09 May 2012 12:44:32 AM
Such a simple solution for the HOF thing.

    Have 2 tabs:

    "Global"
    "Personal"

Come on Dave it shouldn't be hard to implement that at all...
