Name Advertising

    Hey guys, just a quick reminder:
    Advertisements using your name are not allowed.
    This includes Server Trades, Account Sales, Account Purchases, Cross Game Trading etc.
    Please limit your trades and things to your quote and profile.

    Item sales are fine, hence it is not on the list.

    Dave has spoken to the Admins and he would like things stream lined between the servers.

    I should add, items sales for this server are ok, but not if they are advertising for items on another server

    ....can someone remind me why cross server trade advertising in names is negative/bad/harmful such that it gets a rule?

    I personally believe that it should be allowed, it promotes currency circulation around both servers and activity in both servers


    this restriction as far as I can see has no reasonable backing
    like seriously Is it really that bad?

    its not like people are removing points and money from the server

    If server trades were equal between all servers, it would likely not be an issue. However, when it is clear that MD1 gets the bulk of server trades...it takes away from the game play of server 2 and AU. You can see this for yourselves with the itempedia and world stats numbers.

    Basically there is nothing wrong with server trades, The majority of players know who is trading and that is fine but it is based on an old rule of no advertising in the name. We are in the process of streamlining a lot of the rules so they are the same for each server.

    If you're selling your account you can't have the words "account for sale" or "selling pm me" or anything with that variant inside your name. You have to use your name as "$$ see quote" for example.



    If you're looking to BUY an account you are allowed to put buying inside your name. For example: "buying up" or "buying account" is allowed. I don't understand why you can put buying up in your account name but not selling up :nut: just use your name as "see quote" :smile:
