Now that md3 is gone, a new server could be started there..with the new core, it would be interesting

weiner..hit power and that doesnt do anything... and i implied tha taking away your stats would be too harsh. What do you mean stats were scaled back? if the truly were, everyone's stats would be divided by ten or something.

BUT obviously doing that isn't fair for people who work hard like you.

I think it's more important that we play what's left of md and remember how great it has been throughout its time :D :D

Stats haven't actually been scaled back at all. Their effect during attacks may have been, but actual stats are unchanged. That said, of all the changes, I'm pretty sure that's the one that was the most unneccisary.

I agree unless it was scaled until hits do 1-500 damage :D

How has the attack system changed?
The attack system now scales back stats during battle to lessen what are really minor differences at such high numbers. For example, in the previous system if you had 100 strength and your opponent had 10 defense, you would do between 1 and 90 damage. For the lower end of these numbers this is fine, but when it would get to higher numbers, if the difference in your strength and their defense was only 30,000 and you were both in the hundreds of millions, it's really only a tiny difference.

So the first change is that it scales them back to numbers on the lower end and then calculates the new attack power (which is now approximately 40% to 100% of scaled strength - scaled defense). In addition to this, speed now serves a purpose other than determining who attacks first. Speed is first scaled back and then compared with your opponents speed to determine what their chance of dodging your attacking (ie. your chance of missing them).

Weiner, I don't mean to be offensive, but you sound like you are just quoting Dave and actually have no idea what's going on.

You know that the differences between people in the hof are around 80-200 mill in stats per rank. The scaling doesn't affect that so all it has done is annoyed people by giving then weaker hits.
  12. [#14] MisterMoist @ 31 Oct 2011 06:06:55 PM
that is what Dave posted :haha:
if you don't comprehend what's going on, then i feel sorry for you

whats the point of this thread?

    read the op

Okay, that's a little awkward because as I explained, quoting Dave isn't adding to the discussion. If you read my last post, you might eventually figure out that the scaling of hits has no benefits, something that I hope you will become intelligent enough to understand in the near future.

Care to explain how scaling hitd as such has helped weaker players catch up? No because there is no explanation and even if there was, I doubt you'd understand it :haha: :D:alien:
