One aspect of an economic fix has come into MD, not entire feature sets. If a small overlap between two games makes them the same, then essentially every browser-based RPG is the same.
-
Another dumb feature that didnt come from suggestions. What is the point of users even suggesting things if all you do dave is add stupid features that are incomplete and then promise to finish and review later on then you never do.
What happened to finishing the hitlist feature as you promised in your last news post. It seems to me that players have no input on this game and the features that are released are fragmented features that 90% of the players dislike.
Way to be a thoughtful designer dave. Oh wait all you care about is draining the game as you mentioned above :(

im sure most of the money thats making this big stockpile is in those inactive accounts, because anyone playing and has seen those cheap ass dealer points has been buying them to train.
-
Players don't have to like any features that are added, they are designed to benefit the game as a whole, not on an individual player level.
I can guarantee that there will be many features in the future in this game, and in many other products you enjoy, that you will neither like or enjoy, but will benefit the product as a whole.
Take off your tunnel vision glasses, and open your eyes a bit more.

Unfortunately, if that were the case, there'd be no problem in fixing it by just removing the inactives.
The problem is that there are many active players who will not spend their banked money, or will spend as little as they possibly can. There needs to be money drained.

And yes most RPG games are the same click this do that , hit this and punch that but there is plenty of ways you can make them differ its just up to the creator to put in that work and time.I have played games that really stand out.
While i know your doing all you can to fix things i really think going about it this way is wrong, im sure most STR players will not -1 this but its just seeming like the Real shit needing to be done is overlooked and this is what has taken its place.
Whatever happen to wars, hitlist, the other housing, maybe releasing some new weapons, armors , drugs, bosses, something other than worrying about economics, im sure if users had something else to put this money into they would have stayed and played or the ones here would not have so much money in the bank to start with.

I respect u rain. "appalause"^

What is the suggestion forum for dave? Just show? All these featues are being added imo without any transparancy or discussion before they are implemented and are being added only for the sake of staff comfort not for the users expierience.
-
its hard enough to buy points already
raising the price of points means people save up more money
so more money enters the game
making it so we have to buy more weapons makes us use even more money
so people save up
all you have done is make people look at the game and go... shit we need to save up a whole heap of money
-
Applause too that guy above me^

There was no point releasing anything such as housing, weapons, armour, etc. until the economy has been put in it's place. In it's current state, a new house would be bought up same day, then most of those who have bought it would most of that money back in a week or so.
There is an absolute need to focus on the economy before adding in random other things. Players don't need to like any of these economic checks and balances, but they need to be in place before any of the "fun features" can come into place.
-
Well said Rain. I save my money because I am waiting for a new feature to come out to spend it on. I dont want a feature to come out and then have to worry about trying to make money to enjoy the feature.

The suggestion forum is for suggestions to be considered and discussed, it's not a "post here and your feature will be guaranteed to enter the game" forum. The recent changes are made for user experience in the long run, not for instant fun. This is not a democracy, this is a dictatorship.

you could make a heap of items or unique additions to people profiles and make people bid for it if you want to get rid of the money
-
So let get this right... If people just say im not spending my money and screw buying ammo and nothing is done by this economic change or balance, check or whatever and 6 months goes by your telling that nothing fun will be added just because of this?
I think this will encourage more people to save money rather than spend, people are looking at this as i need to save because i may need to buy very expensive ammo or even wait until the prices are what they want them to be.
While i know that everyone is not always gonna like an addition to the game , its just like it was thrown at everyone with no real warning it was even coming...
I really think other things could have been done to drain the cash.
